project summary The Uintah Unit replacement Project would develop flows of the Uinta and Whiterocks Rivers for supplemental irrigation of Indian and Secondary lands. The project would also provide water for recreation and fish and wildlife purposes. It replaces the original Uintah Unit Project, approved by Congress in 1967, with less costly and less environmentally damaging features than were envisioned in the original project.
