ScheduleThe Final Environmental Impact Statement for the ULS was filed on September 30, 2004, and the Record of Decision was issued on December 22, 2004, selecting the proposed action. The Supplement to the 1988 Definite Plan Report for the Bonneville Unit and supporting appendix reports were completed on November 19, 2004. Contracts and agreements for implementation, construction, operation and repayment of the project were executed on March 15, 2005. Construction has begun on the ULS, the last large water conveyance feature of the Central Utah Project. Two construction contract starts are scheduled for 2007; the Mapleton Springville Pipeline–Phase I and Spanish Fork Canyon Pipeline–Reach 1. Construction on Reach 2 of the Spanish Fork Canyon Pipeline is anticipated to begin in 2009 and is planned as a joint construction contract with the Utah Department of Transportation to concurrently widen State Route 6. |
